Architect Rem Koolhaas’ practice, Office for Metropolitan Architecture, has won an international competition with this design for a stock exchange in Shenzen, China.

The building will be 250m high and will have a floor area of 259,000m2. The design has a floating base and the outdoor space below this platform will be used as an urban square. Construction is due to begin in 2007.
