Urinals would be replaced by unisex toilets under government proposals for new BSF secondary schools
Unisex toilets should be built in schools as part of the fight against bullying, according to government recommendations for the Building Schools for the Future programme.
The recommendations, which if taken up would apply to new BSF secondary schools, also include having blurred glass walls and no urinals.
It is suggested that having unisex toilets would discourage pupils from congregating in the area, which is often seen as a magnet for bullies
