The best construction firms to work for are revealed

This year’s list of the construction industry’s 50 best employers was published with this week’s issue of Building.

Among the top performers this year was Middlesbrough architect P+HS, which figured in the top five for all categories for which is was eligible.

Among the contractors, Willmott Dixon received high praise from its staff for its social responsibility, and engineers Max Fordham, Henderson Green and Hannah-Reed scored highly. London QS John Rowan & Partners figured prominently among the consultants, and Swift Horsman was the top specialist.

Workers in the industry were most impressed by their employers’ social responsibility and their own job satisfaction. The weakest areas were once again leadership and “smart working”.
