Thames river walk

Mace is advising its client, Venus Group of Singapore, on a planning application for a 1km long floating river walk along the north bank of the Thames. Venus has agreed to finance Gensler’s £60m “London River Park” which won the Mayor’s Award for planning excellence at the 2010 London Planning Awards and will stretch between Blackfriars and Tower Bridge. A planning application will be submitted in the summer and backers hope to complete the 12m-wide pontoon in time for Jubilee and Olympic celebrations in 2012.
