Ian Sutcliffe leaves housebuilder to become UK managing director of office developer Segro
The UK chief executive of Taylor Wimpey Ian Sutcliffe has left the company to head up the UK arm of office developer Segro, according to a statement by the housebuilder this morning.
The statement said he “stood down” from the board of the company effective yesterday, and will take up the post of managing director, UK property for Segro, which owns £5.2 billion of property and was previously known as Slough Estates.
The statement said: “The Company announces that on 14 April 2008, Ian Sutcliffe, Chief Executive of the UK Housing Division stood down from the Board of Taylor Wimpey plc and has also left the Company.”
Taylor Wimpey’s group chief executive Pete Redfern will now take responsibility for the UK division.
