Bouygues’ contracting arm continuing with mixed-use scheme in Pimlico
Taylor Wimpey’s Central London outfit has acquired the Ebury Centre in Pimlico, London, from Bouygues Development.
The half -acre site comes with detailed planning permission for a mixed-use development designed by Shepherd Robson and includes 47 flats and facilities for pupils at the University Technical College. The college centre has been sponsored by the University of Westminster and Network Rail.
Bouygues UK is the contractor on the scheme and recently finished the piling while the main build stage is about to begin with completion expected in the second quarter of 2018.
Ingrid Skinner, managing director of Taylor Wimpey’s Central London business, said: “Securing Ebury Centre is a great milestone for our business - in keeping with our strategy to create unique, high-quality projects in central London, which will attract smart investment and hold value in the long-term.”
