Consultant Turner & Townsend has made a string of senior appointments across two of its fastest-growing international divisions, China and the US West Coast.

In China, the consultant has appointed Derek Moir and Chunzi Yin as directors in its Beijing office, while Channi Matharu becomes director of planning and project controls in Hong Kong.

Turner & Townsend’s (T&T) China division is spread across six offices and has grown revenue by a fifth and headcount by a third over the past 12 months.

Nick Townsend, managing director for T&T North East Asia, said: “We are now achieving sustainable growth in China which is a testament to our ability to adapt to changing client needs and shifting market conditions.”

On the US West Coast, T&T has appointed Nevin Sood as lead on cost and asset management services.

The West Coast operation, based out of San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles, has doubled revenue to $10.3m (£6.6m) and tripled its workforce over the past twelve months.

John Robbins, USA managing director at T&T, said: “Our steady growth on the West Coast and appointment of Nevin Sood is testament to our ability to adapt to shifting client needs and market conditions across our vast country.”
