T&T appointed on Nottingham prison scheme

The ministry of justice has re-appointed consultant Turner & Townsend as project manager on HM Prison Service in Nottingham.

The firm will support the redevelopment of the prison’s accommodation into a modern facility.

It will help deliver new, larger prisoner accommodation and associated ancillary facilities to replace all the remaining Victorian buildings on the site.

HMP Nottingham is a category B local prison serving the courts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire with capacity for 550 prisoners. The contract will is until 2010.
