Electrical contractor says trading is in line with expectations but it is winding down operations in Preston
T Clarke, the electrical contractor, has revealed a rise in its order book from £170m in 2009 to £220m.
In a trading update the company said its trading was in line with expectations and that to reduce its cost bas it was winding down on of its smaller operations JJ Cross in Preston.
The group said it has a positive cash position and no borrowings.
In response to the public spending cuts, it said its strategy is to “focus on existing relationships with clients and contractors whose developments and projects are not affected by current government spending plans”.
T Clarke’s interim results for the six months to 30 June will be announced on 27 August.
