Asian business grows in importance as consultant expands
International expansion in Asia has helped boost consultant Sweett Group’s order book to £88m.
In a trading update the firm reported that its order book had increased by £9m compared with the end of March last year.
It singled out growth in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, which grew in importance for the company, now representing 30% of total revenue, up from 24% last year.
Dean Webster, chief executive at Sweett, said: “The Group will continue to benefit from its growing international order book, diversified geographic reach and global corporate client base.
He added: “We anticipate continued strong growth in the Asia Pacific markets and expect conditions in our European markets to remain challenging, although the actions we have taken to reduce our cost base in the region ensure that our business will remain competitive.”
Europe now accounts for 60% of the group’s revenues while the Middle East, Africa and India make up the remaining 10%.
