New office will support £40m Centre of Islamic Studies development
Sweett Group has launched its 20th UK office in Oxford to support the development of the city’s £40m Centre of Islamic Studies (CIS) campus.
The Oxford University-affiliated CIS project – which Sweett is project managing – is currently in its second of three construction phases.
The new CIS building - which will relocate the centre from another part of Oxford - bills itself as a “meeting point between the Islamic and Western worlds of learning” and will be complete in 2013.
Andrew Bray, project director at Sweett, will head up the new office. Bray said the firm hopes to build on the CIS project to win more work with Oxford University and other major clients in the area.
