Free virtual show launched today on Building's sustainability channel with presentations and interviews on range of green issues
The first ever Sustainability Now online conference has launched over on Building’s sustainability channel. And it is already packed with nearly 600 people discussing topics as various as the Code for Sustainable Homes, rainwater harvesting and energy security.
“The attendance has already exceeded our wildest expectations,” says editorial director, Phil Clark, “I’m overwhelmed at the response.”
The attendees at the free conference, some sporting the most unlikely avatars, are hobnobbing privately and chatting in the main lounge. Over 3,000 had signed up to attend the free event before it opened.
Content over the two days is to include an interview with green bloggers as well as presentations from leading architects and engineers such as Ché Wall, Hopkins Architects managing director Bill Taylor and sustainable cities expert Herbert Girardet.
The event will also include a fly-through the new sustainable Masdar city as well as the new pioneering Ecoterrace refurbishment project.
Visitors can also ask their footprinting questions to The Carbon Coach Dave Hampton. Exhibitor Sarnafil also has three leading experts available at its stand to discuss green roofing and whole life costs today.
