Shed giant Gazeley has unveiled its vision for the future of distribution sheds with these designs for a carbon-neutral warehouse.
The concept, worked up with architects William McDonough & Partners in the USA and Chetwood Associates, is topped by a 460,000 m2 roof covered in solar panels that produce enough electricity to make the building a net energy producer. Green space around the warehouse would also act as a habitat for animals or be reconfigured to provide areas for sports pitches or parks.
