Cabe has called Lime Tree Square in Street, Somerset, “among the best housing designed this century.” The development, by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, was among 36 presented with a Building for Life 2009 award by the design watchdog and the Home Builders Federation

Lime Tree Square shared the highest score with Cross Street South in Wolverhampton. Crest Nicholson was the developer on the scheme.

Developments were judged on criteria including design, environment and community, character and streets, and parking and pedestrianisation.
