Newham council wins planning for £58m project
Newham council has won planning for the latest large-scale residential scheme to hit London’s east end.
The double-tower development on Stratford High Street will link two aluminium-clad 15 and 35 storey buildings at a cost of £58m.
A consortium of firms including Aitch Group, VFUnd and FOS Properties are behind the scheme, with BM Samuels Finance Group providing finance.
Each tower has commercial spaces on its ground and first floors, with a two-storey gym at the base of the taller building.
A landscaped public space will also be created on the riverside, with pedestrian routes through the site linking an existing footbridge with the High Street and Cook’s Road.
