Former Land Secs director's new role will see him lead T&T on the Shard
Steve McGuckin has joined Turner & Townsend in a new role created by the Leeds-based consultant.
McGuckin was formerly one of Land Securities' senior directors and was in charge of its £3bn Ebbsfleet Valley regeneration scheme. But he left at the end of last month after Land Secs decided to put the scheme, which will eventually feature 10,000 homes, on hold.
His new role at T&T will be managing director of its UK programme and project management division. This will target major programmes and projects in the UK in the private sector, regulated industries and government.
The role will mean McGuckin will be T&T's man in charge of its project management role on the Shard building in London.
T&T employs about 2,500 people and has a turnover of just under £180m.
