Steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal has launched a steel cladding system called Evos that allows architects a choice of design option
The system is based on a self-supporting steel profile made from galvanized and coated strip steel with a thickness of 0.75mm and a cover width of 900mm. A choice of differently shaped coverplates can be clipped onto the steel profile using stainless steel clips. These can span up to 9m. There are three with symmetrical cross-sections: flat; raised isosceles triangle; and a circular segment. The fourth has the cross-section shape of a right-angled triangle. The base profile is available in 100 standard colours.
