About 5,000m2 of Kalzip’s aluminium standing seam cladding, including 1,000m2 of Kalzip XT profile sheets, have been installed on the City of Bristol College’s new South Bristol Skills Academy.


Designed by Archial Architects, the flexibility of the Kalzip XT profiled sheets and the company’s computer controlled roll-forming technology made it possible to create 3D contouring and combine it with a standing seam system to achieve the free-flowing shapes.

More than 1,500 individual Kalzip aluminium sheets were tailor-made for the academy’s complex building envelope and these were all installed by Lakesmere, which also installed 5,000m2 of Kalzip liner, decking and curved decking sheets.
