Further demonstrations taking place in Manchester, Newcastle and Falkirk, organisers claim
The widespread protests over a proposed new wage settlement for electricians moved to the Olympic Park in London today.
Up to 200 workers picketed the mammoth construction site. Protestors on Twitter posted photos which appeared to show the protest had disrupted access to the scheme.
Protest organisers claimed further protests were taking place today in Newcastle, Manchester and outside Grangemouth power station near Falkirk, Scotland.
Electricians are protesting a recent move by eight of the industry’s largest electrical contractors to ditch a 40-year-old wage agreement between electricians and employers.
