Barratt London and United House have signed a joint venture agreement for a £59m redevelopment of Soho police building
Barratt London and United House have signed a joint venture agreement for a £59m redevelopment of a former police section house to create new homes.
Trenchard House, in Soho, central London, a 1930s red brick former hostel for unmarried police officers in Broadwick Street has stood empty for more than a decade.
The building, formerly owned by the GLA, will be demolished and the site has planning permission for 10-storey development, comprising 13 apartments and 65 affordable apartments, with ground floor retail space, basement restaurant and a landscaped roof terrace.
Dolphin Square Foundation is the affordable housing partner on the scheme. They will be collaborating with Soho Housing Association, who will manage the affordable homes.
