Construction firms reported the slowest rate of growth in over two years
Construction firms reported the slowest rate of growth in over two years during the third quarter of 2015, according to the latest Construction Products Association (CPA) survey.
The survey found that, on balance, only 4% of building contractors reported an increase rather than decrease in output compared with a year earlier. Nonetheless, it marked the 10th straight quarter of increasing activity in the industry.
It comes after Building revealed last week that the CPA is set to revise down its output forecast for 2015 when it publishes its revised autumn analysis next month.
Meanwhile, civils firms reported a slowdown in infrastructure growth, with a CECA survey finding on balance 7% of firms saw an increase rather than decrease in work over the third quarter, the lowest percentage since the second quarter of 2013.
