Clark & Fenn Skanska lands £1.1m deal to refurbish ceiling of London landmark.
A specialist arm of contractor Skanska has been appointed to refurbish ceiling work in the Royal Festival Hall.
Clark & Fenn Skanska, Skanska’s ceilings and decorative plasterwork specialist, has won a £1.1m specialist ceiling package within the refurbishment of the Royal Festival Hall, on London’s South Bank. The contract was awarded by main contractor ISG Interior Exterior.
Clark & Fenn Skanska will install glass reinforced gypsum (GRG) ceiling panels in the auditorium of the Grade I-listed building. The firm will also provide replacement ceilings in the public circulation and back of house areas, using GRG, plasterboard, metal panel systems and bespoke aluminium ‘eggcrate’ ceilings.
Work on the project commences this month and is scheduled for completion in January 2007.
