Skanska has confirmed it has been picked to building Helical Bar’s One Miture Square office scheme in the City of London, now known as Creechurch Place.
As first revealed by Building last month, Skanska saw off competition from Balfour Beatty and Carillion for the £95m job.
The new T-shaped building, designed by architect Sheppard Robson, will provide 26,000sqm of office space over 21 floors.
The scheme also incorporates retail units on the ground floor, two basement floor levels, access, parking and landscaping.
Skanska is responsible for construction, mechanical and electrical engineering and installation of services within the main plant rooms.
The building is expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating when complete.
Work is due to start in August 2014 and complete in September 2016.
Skanska’s appointment omes after it was recently chosen by Land Securities to build its £103m 1 & 2 Ludgate office development as well as its £177m 1 New Street office scheme, both in the city of London.
Last year the contractor also bagged the £500m Scalpel tower in the city of London, for US insurance firm W.R Berkley.
Core Five is quantity surveyor, Second London Wall is project manager and Ramboll is structural engineer on the project.
