Swedish giant reaches financial close on design and build academy contract
Skanska has reached financial close on a £30m design and build academy project for the London Borough of Redbridge.
Once completed the Isaac Newton Academy in east London will accommodate 1,250 students aged between 11 and 19.
The project comprises an 11,500-square-meter building, divided into four schools for various levels. Each school will have separate entrances and schoolyards.
Construction work will commence immediately and will be completed in time for the new school year in summer 2012.
