Third quarter results in the UK reveal increase in profit to £8.8m and 50% jump in turnover to £340m
Skanska’s UK division has reported a profit rise of over 40% in its third quarter results.
Operating profit at the contractor, which yesterday confirmed it had been appointed to build London’s Heron Tower, rose to £8.8m from £6.3m in the third quarter. Turnover rose to £339.6m from £226.1m over the period.
David Fison, Skanska UK chief executive, said: “It’s all about continuous improvement. We are performing consistently but the game doesn’t change.
"We need to keep driving project performance – that means integrating our project teams better, helping our people give of their best and improving our procurement and design management.”
