James Corker starts later this month

Skanska has brought in a senior figure from Morgan Sindall to fill the role of operations director at its rail arm.

James Corker will start later this month after more than four years at the firm where he was Morgan Sindall’s area director.

Skanska is working with Costain and Strabag on the London tunnels contract for HS2

Schemes Corker has worked on while at the FTSE 250 contractor include upgrade work on the line between Edinburgh and Glasgow, the East Coast Main Line at King’s Cross and a Crossrail depot at llford in east London.

Skanska is working in a joint venture with Costain and Austrian tunneller Strabag on the London tunnels project for HS2.
