Turnover at Wembley Park contractor stays flat
Profit at Sisk bounced back from the impact of covid last year, the firm has said in its latest report and accounts filed at Companies House.
The company, which recently signed a £227m deal to build 800 more homes at Quintain’s Wembley Park development, said pre-tax profit jumped to £8.4m from £2.8m, down 44% on 2019’s number, in 2020. Turnover, all of which comes from the UK, was down 2% to £383m.
In the accounts, which were signed off at the end of June, Sisk said it had a “strong” pipeline of work for the remainder pf this year and 2023.
It said its cash balance at the year end was down 8% to just over £57m. Last month Sisk said nearly 1,500 staff across the UK and Ireland will be handed one-off payments of close to £1,000 in their next pay packets to help with the cost of living crisis.
