Sir Robert McAlpine has won the £50m job to build a prime residential scheme in west London for Native Land and Grosvenor.
The contractor won the job following a competitive tender process for the MSMR-designed scheme, which comprises a 100,000 sq ft prime residential scheme at Alpha Place on Chelsea Manor Street, London.
Enabling works have already commenced on site at Alpha Place and the main construction of the scheme will start in September 2012 with practical completion expected in the summer of 2014.
Alpha Place will comprise 25 prime apartments for open-market sale, 13 on-site affordable housing units, a resident’s only leisure facility and 47 underground car parking spaces.
David McAlpine at Sir Robert McAlpine, said: “Working with Native Land and Grosvenor to deliver Alpha Place is an exciting prospect and we look forward to the start of construction. Securing this contract underlines our ability to deliver high quality, design-led residential schemes in London.”
