Local contractor will build zones four and seven of Schon scheme, including 900 flats and a mall

Local firm Sin Sabt Building has been chosen to complete work on the third and final phase of the Dubai lagoon project.

The firm will build zones four and seven, which together comprise more than 900 apartments as well as a 10,000m2 shopping mall.

Sin Sabt Building is expected to start enabling works later this month and begin in earnest around April. It is due to finish work in 2011.

The value of the contractor's deal is 500m dirhams (£95m) and the work will be masterminded by developer Schon Properties.
