Asbestos firm's profits reach £800,000 while turnover rises to £6m
Asbestos removal consultant Silverdell has reported a seven-fold increase in pre-tax profit to £800,000 in its interim results.
Silverdell reported pre-tax profit of £800,000 for the six months to 31 March 2007, compared with £100,000 in the previous six months. Turnover rose to £15.6m from £6.0m over the period, during which the company bought consultant Redhill for a consideration of up to £10.3m.
The results are the company’s first full set of interims since its flotation on the AIM in July 2006.
Chief executive Danny Spicer said: “During the period, Silverdell has made significant progress in all areas of its strategy, including the Redhill acquisition. We look forward to the future with confidence.”
