Energy firm InterGen picks Siemens to build and maintain for two gas-fired power stations together worth £1bn
Energy firm InterGen has picked engineer Siemens to construct and maintain two gas-fired power plants in Lincolnshire and Essex.
The £1bn InterGen project is set generate a total of 2.1 gigawatts of capacity at the sites in Spalding and Coryton.
The new plants will be the first UK plants to use Siemens’ latest “H” technology.
Under the deal Siemens will build and maintain the two power plants.
