The Deck, a summer events space on top of the National Theatre on London’s South Bank, has begun construction.
Designed by architect A-EM Studio it will consist of a large translucent cube-like structure with retractable glazed walls, which will open on to an outdoor terrace. The space will be located on one of the theatre’s highest Thames-facing terraces, with views of St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. It will open in April.
