Severn Trent to spend £2.5bn on upgrades

Severn Trent Water will spend £2.5bn upgrading water and sewerage services in their areas over the next five years, the company said today.

STW said it would accept the determination by the water regulator Ofwat, which would lead it £800 per property to spend across the period.

The water company said: “The money will be used to maintain and improve water and sewerage services in areas which customers have told us are their priorities.”
