Accidental death at Leeds site follows recent fatal explosion at Welwyn

A worker has been killed on a Laing O’Rourke site in Knostrop near Leeds.

The accident, which happened on 13 November, is believed to have been the result of a subcontractor falling from height.

It is the second incident to occur on a Laing O’Rourke site this month, after a worker was killed in an explosion on a site near Welwyn Garden City.

Investigations are being carried out by the police and the Health and Safety Executive.
