Exhibition by RCA graduate demonstrates how unrecycled waste can be transformed into useful products
Architect and recent RCA graduate Ian Douglas-Jones and designer Ben Rousseau have created a vast architectural seating strata using materials reclaimed by Elvis & Kresse, a firm that works with re-engineering waste to create lifestyle accessories.
Conceived by Arts Co Wasted - the organisation that curates art and design exhibitions - Wasted will be presented in the tunnel connecting the London Underground to The Victoria & Albert Museum and is exhibited as part of London Design Festival.
The project aims to demonstrate how tonnes of traditionally unrecycled waste that end up in landfill can be reclaimed and used to create interesting lifestyle products.
