Station will feature new ticket halls and two 210m-long platforms
Scott Wilson is set to win the £10m Crossrail design contract for Farringdon station in central London.
The job comprises two new tickets halls with a western facility on the south-east corner of Farringdon Road and Cowcross Street and an eastern junction at Lindsey Street.
Two 210m-long platforms will be constructed between the east and west ticket halls to accommodate operation of 10 car trains.
The ticket halls will be at street level and will provide an interchange between Crossrail and the proposed Thameslink 2000.
Construction on the station is expected to take between four and five years.
