Work to finish next autumn
Maidstone borough council has awarded Rydon a contract to build a £9.5m complex at the Kent Medical Campus.
Part of the North Kent Enterprise Zone, the Innovation Centre is located at Junction 7 of the M20 and will bring together businesses and organisations involved in healthcare, scientific research and development.
Designed by Bond Bryan Architects, the four-storey, 37,000ft2 building will include office space, facilities and business support for small and medium-sized enterprises working in the life science, healthcare and med-tech sectors.
Work is due to start shortly with the scheme set to complete next autumn.
