Rooftop parking at Westfield

About 15,000m² of CityRoofs’ Pardak tensioned-slab paving system has been installed over an inverted, insulated roof in the rooftop parking at Westfield Stratford City. The firm claims that Pardak enables the reinforced concrete slab to be waterproofed quicker than a conventional insulated slab. Pardak uses dry, prefabricated construction techniques, which the firm says is unaffected by most weather conditions. It says Pardak is suitable for other roof build-ups, including warm and un-insulated, as well as inverted roofs.
