Contractor wins another £200m of claims handling and repair work with insurer
Rok has secured a £200m extension to its contract with Zurich Insurance.
The UK-based contractor said its place on the insurance firm's building repair panel, which it won in 2005, will continue for a minimum of five years.
Under the agreement, Rok will handle insurance claims from first notification through to completion of repairs. It has also been appointed management provider for Zurich Direct building claims under £10,000.
Garvis Snook, chief executive of Rok, said: “It is particularly pleasing to have renewed this prestigious contract as it is a reflection of the commitment and effort spent over the past 12 months in developing Rok Insurance Services.
“This is a further step towards our goal of becoming the UK's leading provider of claims management and building repair services to the insurance sector.”
The announcement comes a week after Rok opened an insurance centre in Mansfield to boost its services to the industry. It expects to handle 70,000 claims each year at the new centre.
The move was widely seen as an attempt by Rok to diversify its business operations following a tough few months, in which it cut 750 jobs and issued a profit warning.
