Operating in the West Midlands Kingfisher design, builds and provides maintenance services in the social housing sector
Building and maintenance services provider ROK has acquired social housing specialist Kingfisher for £4.5m.
Based in the West Midlands, Kingfisher provides planned maintenance services to local authorities and housing associations in the region. The firm also designs and builds homes for social and care housing sectors.
Rok will pay £1.1m of the £4.5m asking price in shares, while £1m will be deferred pending Kingfisher’s year-end results.
Last year Kingfisher reported pre-tax profits of £0.9m.
Rok recently revealed a 10% increase in turnover for the six months to June 30 2006. In a trading update, it also announced that it had won £300m of work in the social housing sector.
