Contractor predicts long-term social housing projects will exceed £1.4bn
Contractor ROK has confirmed that trading for the year to 31 December has been in line with market expectations, boosted by the continuing integration of recent acquisition Tulloch Construction.
In a trading update issued ahead of its preliminary results, Rok said that Tulloch had a confirmed order book of £360m. It also has long-term frameworks, principally for social housing projects, totalling over £1.4bn.
Rok Building secured £560m of social housing framework agreements during 2006, mainly on planned maintenance and refurbishment projects. The statement said that Rok Development had had “a very successful year, with good profit progression.”
In its statement, Rok said: “The group’s strategy of becoming the nation’s local builder is increasingly being recognised.”
