Mersey Property Company submits planning application for mixed-use 36-storey development
Liverpool-based developer, the Mersey Property Company has submitted a planning application for a mixed-use development at the city’s Princes Dock.
Working alongside Liverpool City Council, Liverpool Vision, English Heritage and CABE, Mersey Property hopes that planning permission for he project will have been secured by October this year and that work on site will start soon after.
The development featuring a 36-storey tower will be made up of a 135-bedroom hotel, 183 apartments, a car park to hold over 330 vehicles and a plaza with cafes and restaurants.
The project’s design is being overseen by London architect RMJM. Roger Whiteman of RMJM said: “Liverpool has always been a city with a rich historical heritage, a city defined by its architecture and its people."
"The building has been carefully modelled to respect prominent views to landmark buildings such as the Three Graces. The building will be built using a varies palette of materials, which will be a clean and modern interpretation of the cities industrial heritage.”
