Former army officer set to conquer international markets for UK-based architect
Architect RMJM has appointed a former army officer to lead the charge into emerging international markets.
Nick Haston, a former deputy director of operations for the operational brigade headquarters in Afghanistan, will examine opportunities in Brazil, China, India and Russia for the international architectural firm.
RMJM has offices across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America but is looking to extend its global reach.
Peter Morrison, the firm's chief executive, said: “We are tackling the recession head on by refocusing our business in the growth areas of healthcare, education and transport infrastructure, where many world leaders are investing heavily, and also by breaking into new markets. Our focus is on winning the world's most challenging and exciting projects wherever these might be.”
