Association of Women in Property team includes contractors, architects, consultants and construction lawyers
A senior project manager at consultant Robinson Low Francis will be leading the all-female crew from the Association of Women in Property at this year’s Little Britain Challenge Cup.
Carol Bell will be heading a multi-disciplinary team of contractors, architects, consultants and construction lawyers at the event which runs from the 11 to 14 September.
The team is planning to emulate its success in the 2007 event, when it finished 17th overall, 3rd in IRC Class 8, and carried off the Welsh Water Alliance Trophy and the PRC Fewster Cup for 50% female crews.
Bell said: "Every crew member is sponsored by her employer and we are all grateful for the opportunity to participate in this prestigious event.
“The Little Britain Challenge Cup is the best teambuilding exercise ever – we start with a scratch crew of varying sailing/racing experience each year, having never all sailed together until we head out into the Solent for the first race."
The team’s yacht, Sigmagician, a Sigma 38, will be sporting RLF’s colours alongside the Women in Property Battle Flag in Cowes Yacht Haven - and a montage of all the sponsors’ logos along her hull will make her highly visible when racing.
This is the event’s 21st birthday, an anniversary that it shares with Women in Property.
