Consultant appointed project manager on one of the largest Midlands regeneration schemes

Consultant Rider Levett Bucknall will provide project management services for the Wolverhampton Interchange project, hailed as one of the biggest recent regeneration schemes in the Midlands.

Appointed by Neptune Developments, the firm will form part of the design team for the £176m project.

Matthew Kimberley, RLB project manager, said: “It is going to provide some really exciting and grand transportation facilities together with surrounding areas for visitors to and from the city centre.”

Work will include rebuilding Wolverhampton train and bus stations to create a new transport interchange, a range of modern apartments, a four star hotel, nearly half a million ft2 of commercial space and 114,000 ft2 of leisure and retail facilities.

Work is expected to start on the site in November and is due to be completed by 2012.
