Consultant starts work on new Royal Mail HQ in Victoria Embankment
Consultant Rider Levett Bucknall has been appointed to provide project, cost and move management, and CDM co-ordinator services on three refurbishment projects for client Royal Mail Group within London.
RLB’s London Office has completed the first of these schemes which comprised a phased refurbishment of the existing premises at Rathbone Place to provide 8,000m² of accommodation.
A second project will commence shortly at Victoria Embankment which will become Royal Mail’s new headquarters.
The final scheme will be the refurbishment of the existing headquarters at 148 Old Street.
The 11,500m² existing offices will be refurbished to become the headquarters for the Post Office.
RLB has secured a further contract to provide project and cost management, and CDM co-ordinator services on the refurbishment and alteration to over 350 Crown Post Office branches throughout the UK.
