Consultant project manager and QS on concepts Coaching Inn and Bluu
Consultant Rider Levett Bucknall has been appointed by Marston to manage the rollout of its new leisure brands.
The firm will provide project management as well as some building and QS services on the Coaching Inn and Bluu concepts.
The pub chain, which has a 550-strong estate and operates a number of pub and bar concepts including the Pitcher & Piano, is expanding into the hotel sector with the Coaching Inn concept.
It is investing around £4m in each site, with the two in Wellington, near Bristol, and Wadebridge in Cornwall currently at design stage.
The second project is the recently purchased inner city bar brand Bluu with sites in Manchester and Nottingham.
Marston is looking to make the brand its premium offering by launching the first new Bluu bar next month followed by a flagship site in Moorgate, London.
Andy Hogg, associate at RLB, said: “Our service begins at the inception stage where we are providing support to Marston’s acquisition managers to assess the viability of a site for development.
“We are then managing the projects through design and construction to the end of the defect liability period, 12 months after completion.”
The programme will be run from the consultant’s office in Birmingham.
