Exhibition includes leather made from fish skin and petrol from recycled cooking oil
A wide range of UK companies will be exhibiting their green products and technologies at Eco-Diversity.
The free one-day event at the RIBA’s London headquarters will take place on 17 November.
Products on exhibit include wood from old television sets and plastics that look like and weigh the same as particular types of wood.
There are showcases of builders who use absailing instead of scaffolding. There will also be leather made from fish skin and petrol from recycled cooking oil.
Other innovations on display include services for monitoring energy use and for making Victorian homes energy-efficient, and a mobile self-sufficient building.
The event also includes the DiverseCity exhibition featuring women architects from London.
The Eco-Diversity Showcase is part of the BuildON project which is supported by the London Development Agency.
