The final elements of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum wez`re unveiled in New York this week
Visitors will enter the building’s subterranean area through the Museum Pavilion, designed by the Norwegian architecture firm, Snøhetta. The underground structure was designed by Davis Brody Bond Aedas. The largest single exhibit will be the 60ft wall that survived the shock of the towers’ fall. Also on display is the Last Column, which served as an impromptu memorial for rescue and recovery workers.
