Visitor numbers, selling prices and reservations all up this year
Housebuilder Redrow says visitor numbers to its sales sites have already been boosted by the government’s Help to Buyequity loan scheme.
Redrow says the announcement earlier this month has “already provided a welcome boost to visitor numbers”.
In a trading update for the period since the start of the year, Redrow said the average selling price and reservations was up on last year.
The average selling price of private reservations for the firm was up 12%, at £235,000 for the regional business (2012: £207,000) and £483,000 for London (2012: £432,000), while private reservations were up to 1,009 (2012: 843).
The firm said: “Given the healthier outlook for housing, the increase in outlets and the benefit of the Government’s “Help to Buy” equity loan scheme, Redrow expects to show further good progress for the full year.”
